On the streets of Strasbourg, a 22-year-old is selling his body while searching for love. This young man is Léo, the protagonist of Sauvage, the debut from French filmmaker Camille Vidal-Naquet.
Félix Maritaud, a 26-year-old with only two previous acting credits to his name, inhabits Léo with more than just speculative interpretation. The actor won the inaugural Louis Roederer Foundation Rising Star Award following the film’s premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last year, for his visceral, passionate performance.
